TechNovum, Powered by VelocityTX

TechNovum™, the accelerator at UT Health San Antonio, has assisted investigator entrepreneurs who wish to play a more active role in the commercialization of their UT Health San Antonio developed inventions. TechNovum provided practical commercialization-oriented educational coaching and was designed to help investigator entrepreneurs to validate their product idea through the use of customer and market feedback, and the creation and development of a compelling commercialization story.

TechNovum Powered by VelocityTX will provide a collaborative and nurturing environment for health-focused innovations to accelerate their growth and development. The Accelerator will feature a wide range of focused programming specifically curated for helping companies trying to enhance and save lives at a global level. The cohort-based program will provide growing companies with the assistance they need to overcome the “valley of death” that frequently causes companies to fail. Programming modeled after the gold standards of the industry will include: a structured curriculum, mentoring, business coaching, pitch development, peer collaboration, and much more.

VelocityTX will leverage its network and resources to connect, support, and fund companies/founders from UT Health. The selected companies will also be able to use the VelocityTX Innovation Center to connect with other innovators and entrepreneurs, with the potential to have a dedicated office or laboratory space.
