Patent License Agreement (PLA) (in review)
The PLA contains the custom financial and business terms for each particular patent license, as well as the legal terms and conditions applicable to the license grant (attached as an exhibit to the Patent License Agreement).
Option Agreement (in review)
An Option Agreement allows, for a defined period of time, a company the ability to possess the rights and evaluate a technology without the full commitments of a PLA. It outlines the rights and terms of the Board of Regents and the inventor(s) associated with the invention's ownership.
The Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA) defines how shared intellectual property will be managed among institutions in order to allow it to be licensed as a whole. The legal terms and conditions are attached as an exhibit
