OTC serves as a bridge between inventors pursuing commercialization of their technology and  pharma, medical device, consumer health and digital companies.  The inventor, along with legal counsel and the OTC licensing professionals, work with companies interested in licensing technology developed at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio.

OTC has a proven track record of successful license agreements to commercialize intellectual property and other technologies developed by University researchers. Strong relationships have been developed with the life sciences ecosytem including, entrepreneurs, angel investors, venture capital firms, healthcare companies, associations, and media. Technologies  developed by scientists at the university have lead to game changers in patient care, like the Titanium Rib to save children with chest wall deformities and the EZ-10 to rapidly infuse fluids into the bone marrow cavities of patients in shock.
